Abdul Andrew was born in Lunsar Town in 2004. He currently attends school at the Life for Relief Primary School and is in Class (1) One. Abdul's father drowned in a river, and his mother died in an accident along the Freetown Makeni highway. After the mother's burial ceremony, Abdul was handed over to his single aunt, Hawanatu, to take care of him. No one in his family is assisting the aunt to care of Abdul. Abdul needs help because his aunt, who is a petty trader, is unable to take proper care of him and adequately provide for his basic physical and educational needs.

Abdul was born in Masugbay Village.  Abdul’s family and many others were burnt alive in a house when they were captured be rebels in Masugbay Village.  Abdul was fortunate to be away with his Grandmother when his village was attacked and they escaped through the bushes.  Now, Abdul stays with a foster parent in Mile 91 who saw them near his house, saw their suffering, and took them in, but whose income is unable to provide properly for Abdul and his Grandmother.  Abdul is not currently able to attend school because of financial need and is in desperate need of sponsorship.

Abdul was born in Mamanso Kafla.  He attends Bishop Conforti’s Agricultural Secondary School (Junior Secondary School I).  He lost both of his parents to natural illnesses.  Abdul’s caretaker is his grandmother who is a nurse.  Abdul is a needy child seeking economic assistance to sustain his education, and provide for his day to day needs.

Just before Abie was born, Abie’s father died in an ambush between Moyamba Junction and Bo Highway by the rebels in 1999.  Abie’s mother died a few years after she gave birth to her from a severe sickness. She lived with her Grandmother for a few years, but was then handed over her aunt, Tenneh, who is a petty trader. Abie attends school (Class 4) at the Seventh Day Adventist Church Primary School.  Abie suffers from headaches and pain from her ear.  Abie needs great help because her aunt cannot take proper care of her because of her low income from petty trading.

His father died from falling out of a palm tree (while harvesting palm fruit).  After his burial, Abu’s aunt, Fatmata, became his caretaker. Because his aunt is a farmer, she is not able to take proper care of him as a result of her low income.  Abu, an orphan, seeks a sponsor to provide assistance in order to continue in school and receive proper care.

After three years, the mother took Abu to his grandparents for care taking, but one year later, the grandfather also died. The grandmother then handed the child to a foster parent for care taking because she was too old to take care of Abu. The care-giver, Kadiatu, is a petty trader and with no husband, and is finding it difficult to take care of Abu.  Abu has attended Hijubulah Islamic Primary School and is in Class 4.  From the information gathered, Abu is a real orphan and needs great help since the one taking care of him is too poor to support his needs.

He died shortly after he was released because of many wounds on his body. His Mother died during child labor a year after Abu’s father died. Abu was taken in by his Aunt, a petty trader, and given medication because he was sick with malaria.  Abu recovered and stays with his Aunt, but she cannot afford to provide properly for him.  Abu is not currently able to attend school because of financial need and is in desperate need of sponsorship.

Because one of Adama’s hands is deformed she is unable to hold things.  Adama’s father died after suffering from a severe sickness. A few years later, her mother died from an accident. Adama was given to a new caretaker, Tenneh, after the burial ceremony, and no one in her family has assisted her in taking care of Adama. The caretaker is single and has a low-income job as a farmer, but depends on the harvest season for money.  Adama would greatly benefit from sponsorship to help her continue her education and provide for her basic physical needs.

The mother died in Mile 91 from a severe sickness one year after the father’s death. At the end of the burial ceremony, Adamsay’s aunt, Aminata, was asked by the other relatives to take care of Adamsay.  As a petty trader, she finds it difficult to take care of her.  Adamsay attends the Sierra Leone Brotherhood Islamic Secondary School (J.S.S. 3).  Adamsay is an orphan who needs great help because the aunt cannot properly care for her because of her low income.

Adamsay's caretaker, Yabum, is married, but does not receive any assistance in taking care of Adamsay from any other relatives, and needs support to raise the orphan. A sponsor is sought to help provide for Adamsay's well-bing and continued education.

Alfred was born in Mile 91 in 2000.   Alfred’s father died during a land dispute and was killed by the opposite party. The mother drowned in a river.  Alfred was then given to his grandmother., who died a few years later.   Alfred was then placed with a foster parent, Naday, for care taking. But Naday is finding it difficult to care of Alfred and own children.  According to the information gathered, Alfred is a real orphan and is in need of great help because the foster parent cannot take proper care of him.  Alfred has attended school at the Huntingdon Primary School in the past and is in Grade 5.  The foster parent is a petty trader and she gets very little income from the business.

Alie was born in Kenema in 1994.  What is known of Alie’s history is that he was adopted from the streets of Mile 91 far away from his claimed home of Kenema.  Apparently Alie was picked up by a certain man in Kenema and abandoned in Mile 91.  Out of school since living in Kenema, Alie’s foster parent, a widow named Fatmata, sent him to acquire carpentry skills.  Alie is not currently attending school and his caregiver needs educational assistance for Alie in order to enroll him in school to provide for the child’s upbringing.

Alie was born in Masanga Village in 1998.  The father and mother of Alie were all staying in Masanga Village when rebels attacked them.  During this attack, the mother and father were killed. But before this, the child had been staying with his grandmother in Mile 91. A few years later, the grandmother died and the child was then handed over by the other relatives to Alie’s uncle, Mustapha, for care taking.  According to the information gathered Alie is a real orphan and is suffering greatly because the uncle cannot take proper care of him.  Alie has attended the Roman Catholic Boys Primary School. but needs help and support to remain in school.

Alimatu was born in Yonibana Town.  Alimatu’s Mother was raped by a Kamator when their village was attacked. She was captured with many others at Yonibana Town and taken to their base. She was later released with a few others after ten days.  After her release, she was found to be pregnant as she was initially a virgin.  Alimatu’s foster parent, a widow in Mile 91, took Alimatu in as an infant, but struggles greatly to provide for Alimatu and herself.  She has not been enrolled in school because of financial need.   Alimatu is often sick with symptoms from malaria, and is in desperate need of sponsorship.

His mother’s sister adopted him after the father died.  His brothers and sister are with other relatives.  Charles is a needy orphan, whose caregiver is in desperate need of assistance to support Charles.

Dauda was born in Lungi Town in 1997.  He attends the Sierra Leone Brotherhood Islamic Secondary School (J.S.S. Grade 2).  Dauda’s father was shot during the attack in Freetown on January 6th, 1999. He died while in the hospital.  His mother died from a severe sickness a year after the death of the father.  At Dauda’s mothers burial ceremony the relatives asked his aunt, Aminata, to care for him.  As a petty trader, Dauda’s caretaker finds it difficult to care for him because of low income.

After the burial ceremony of the father, Fatmata was handed over to Yeabu, a foster parent, for caretaking.  No member of Fatmata’s family is assisting the caretaker.  The child needs great help to provide for her needs and education.

Hassan was born in Mabaroh Village, Mile 91.  Hassan’s Father was killed by rebels when they attacked their village.   His Mother died in child labor three years after her husband died.  Hassan’s Grandmother, his current care-taker, is very old and widowed, and living through gardening for food.   She cannot currently afford putting Hassan in school.    Hassan is in desperate need of sponsorship.

Hawa goes to school at S.L.M.B. Secondary School in Mile 91 and is in Class (3) Three. Hawa was born in Pujehun Town. Her father was killed during the rebel war, while her mother drowned in a river on a fishing trip. Hawa's current caretaker is Mariatu, who is providing foster care to Hawa along with her uncle. Hawa is an orphan who would benefit greatly from sponsorship because her caregivers are struggling to properly provide for her without help.

After a few years, Hawa's mother also died and since then she has continued to live with her grandmother. Ramatu is single, elderly, and subsists as a farmer, and therefore it is difficult for her to take care of Hawa who often suffers from stomach aches. A sponsor could help lift her basic condition and provide for her continued education.

Ibrahim's father became paralyzed during the war and later died as a result of his condition. Before his death, Ibrahim's father handed Ibrahim over to his mother (Ibrahim's grandmother, Isatu) to take care of him, and Ibrahim is still in his grandmother's care. However, the grandmother has trouble taking care of Ibrahim since she is a poor farmer and petty trader with very low income. Ibrahim would greatly benefit from sponsorship to help sustain his care and provide for his continued ability to attend school.

Idrissa was born in 2004 in Masepeh Village. He is not currently not attending school because of a lack of income. Idrissa's father died after a severe sickness and this mother died immediately after giving birth to Idrissa. The caretaker who took Idrissa in, Kiadiatu, is a foster parent who struggles to earn a living as a petty trader and whose husband is unemployed. Idrissa's caretakers are not able to adequately support him or supply him an education without sponsorship because of their little income and the needs of the other children in their family.

Primary School in Mile 91, Isatu sometimes suffers from stomach aches.  Isatu’s father died of a strangulated hernia.  Within a few years of the father’s death, her mother died while in labor. At the burial, the family of the father gave the child to her aunt Mabinty for caretaking because of their poor condition.   Isatu’s aunt is a widow and a petty trader who cannot afford to support Isatu because of low income.  Isatu would benefit greatly from sponsorship.

Her caretaker is married, but is not related to her, and has no source of income and cannot afford to properly care for Isatu or provide for her further education.

Her caretaker, a married foster parent named Samuel, is a poor farmer and he needs support to help Jenneh’s school career and physical needs.  Jenneh attends school at the R.C. Primary School, Masethleh, Grade 4.

Her mother attempted to run away from the fighting forces during the war but unfortunately met them and was killed. Kadiatu was found and given to a caretaker, Massah, who is married but not a relative, and does not receive support from her extended family. Because Kadiatu's caretaker is a petty trader with very limited income, sponsor support is needed to help provide for Kadiatu's basic well-being and education.

Kamate lost both of her parents, the more recent being her mother as a result of death during childbirth to another girl. Kamate has to surviving older brothers and is cared for by her grandmother, Adama, a single caretaker who is a subsistence gardener. No other relatives provide any assistance to help with Kamate's well being. A sponsor is needed to help fund Kamate's school costs so that she can continue to attend school alongside her brothers, as well as help with basic food and clothing staples.

Lisif was born in Banama Village in 2000.  Lisif’s father died after severe sickness in Waterloo. The mother died during the attack of the Kamators in Maganamor Village with the rebels. At the burial ceremony the child was handed over to his aunt, Marie, for care-taking.   As a petty trader, the aunt reports that it is very difficult to take care of him because of low income that can only support her own immediate family.  Lisif has attended Seventh Day Adventist Church Primary School (Class 4).  According to the information gathered, Lisif is an orphan and needs help because the aunt cannot adequately provide for him.

Luke was born in Lungi Town.  Luke’s Father died in Connaught hospital in Freetown after being caught by a stray bullet during the civil war.  Luke’s Mother died a few years later from severe sickness in Mile 91.   The boy’s Aunt took him in, but she is finding it very difficult in taking care of the child because of low income as a petty trader.  Luke suffers from stomach pain, and is in need of help and care.  Luke is not currently able to attend school because of financial need and is in desperate need of sponsorship.

The family agreed that Memuna's aunt, Marie, should take care of Memuna. Without help from other family members, Memuna's caretaker struggles to give he proper care and opportunity because she is a subsistence farmer and has little income. Memuna sometimes suffers from nose bleeds and headaches.

Sallaymtu was born in Makeni in 1998.  Her father died in Sanda in the Bombali District from a severe sickness. The father and mother were together in Sanda. The mother died in child labor.   At the burial service of the mother, the remaining family decided to hand over the child to his Aunt Fatmata to care for her. Presently, however, Fatmata has no means of getting money or income to care of Sallaymatu.  Sallaymatu has attended the Roman Catholic Girls Primary School up to grade 5.  According to the story about Sallaymatu is an orphan and needs great help since her guardian cannot afford to support her or to properly take the welfare of the child.

After the death of the father, Steven's mother came to stay with Hassan Kamara, Steven's grandfather, who ultimately became Steven's caregiver. According to the information gathered, Zainab is an orphan who needs help because her grandmother struggles to adequately take care of her without assistance.
