Blessing's father disappeared at the end of the war, and no news about his whereabouts was ever heard. The mother died from a major stomach operation. Blessing is staying with her grandmother who is poor and is unable to adequately provide for her. Blessing is finding life difficult and needs urgent attention and assistance to continue her education.

Fanta was born in Waterloo in 2000. The father of Fanta was killed by rebels during the war at a place called Sumila Town just five days after the birth of his daughter Fanta. The mother died of a chronic illness in 2008, and since then Fanta has been living with her aunt Adama, a petty trader. Fanta's situation is desperate. Even with her aunt around, things are difficult for her. She needs urgent attention and assistance.

Foday's caregiver does not know much about his family background because it was the mother-in-law that handed over Foday to him before her death. Foday's caregiver, Samuel, is a teacher. Foday needs love and care and someone to assist with his food and other material needs.

A person in a diamond-mining field murdered Ibrahim’s father. His mother fell ill and died. He was staying with his father’s friend who did not take proper care of him, but is now staying with his aunt, Fatu, a petty-trader in Waterloo. Ibrahim is enrolled in Class 2 at the Family Aims Primary School in Waterloo.  However, Ibrahim needs help as his caregiver is economically constrained and cannot provide regular food and other basic needs nor afford to keep Ibrahim in school.

Mariatu's father, Osman, died in a gruesome road accident and her mother, Yealie, died from chronic malaria. Mariatu was taken in by her Uncle, John, a married teacher. However, Mariatu's situation is desperate and needs quick intervention because the uncle has many children and other extended family members to care for from his little salary. Mariatu would benefit from sponsorship to continue her education and meet her physical needs.

Her aunt is married and a petty trader. Mariatu is enrolled in the Uniwatch Primary School, grade 2. Mariatu needs educational and basic assistance to move on in life because the aunt is poor.

Mbambay was born in Lungi, Sierra Leone. Mbambay attends the Evangel Primary School Class (2) Two. Mbambay's mother died from excessive bleeding after giving birth to Mbambay. Her father was a fisherman and he died from drowning in the sea while fishing. Mbambay was taken in by her aunt, her namesake, also named Mbambay, a firewood seller. While in good health, the child's overall condition needs urgent attention and she was recommended into the orphan care sponsorship program to help meet her needs and continue her education.

He is in Class 5 at the United Methodist Church Primary School in Waterloo.  He needs care and support educationally, emotionally, and spiritually.

She is in need of sponsorship because her aunt has other children to care for, and her salary alone cannot support Sia.

Solomon's uncle, Samuel, a teacher, is taking care of the boy, but needs sponsorship help for Solomon to provide for his education and other welfare issues.
