Technology Transfer & Workforce Development

The Need:
The average annual income of a working person in Sierra Leone is under $200.  Most Sierra Leoneans have no computer or business skills.

Project Restore Hope Activities:
Project Restore Hope will provide basic technology education for Sierra Leone nationals.  The training will be focused on business applications that will help Sierra Leoneans become more marketable within the local economy and enhance the efficiency of Sierra Leonean infrastructure.

Initial classroom offerings will include:

  • Keyboarding/typing
  • Selected Microsoft Office applications
    • Word
    • Excel
    • Powerpoint
    • Publisher
  • Intuit Quickbooks

In the future, PRH hopes to expand our offerings to include additional applications such as Microsoft Front Page (web development) and Microsoft Access (database development/maintenance).

All local Sierra Leoneans are eligible to receive training through this ministry.

What Can You Do?

Pray – Pray that this ministry will positively impact the people of Sierra Leone, preparing them and providing opportunities to better support themselves and their families.

Time – Volunteer to help teach computer and/or basic business skills in Sierra Leone.

Resources – Provide financial support or functional computer equipment which can be given to Sierra Leoneans as they pursue business opportunities.
